What makes us different?

1. The international dimension: personalized bilingual English and Spanish education.

We provide you a bilingual English and Spanish education. We work out that way your possibilities to be a professional all around the world. We know the studying in two languages is not easy, so we offer you some tools that will give a hand:

  • We guarantee personalized attention in the language of your election both in your exams and tutorships.
  • Subjects in English will be between 40% and 60%. Inside these percentages, each student will be able to decide his own itinerary depending on her/his needs and aims.
  • We include free additional English lessons to improve your level and to get the opportunity of internationalize your profile.
2. The triple synergy.

Studies of Energy Engineering become stronger in the CEU-UCH because it is an engineering sharing skills and areas of knowledge with:

  • The Business Administration degree in areas such as economics, accounting, finance, marketing and management of organizations.
  • Also with Engineering Degree in Industrial Organization basic subjects, subjects of the common Industrial Branch and subjects of Industrial Technologies.
  • And with the Computer Engineering Degree in Information Systems and Communications and Quantitative Methods.
3. Our teachers are professionals

The educational approach features a teaching staff with high degree of professionalism for specific subjects, allowing a real insight into the dynamics of the profession in applied projects to the business sector.

4. And with access to the master of Industrial Engineering.

We have designed the Degree in Energy Engineering and the Industrial Organization Engineering Degree to ensure the acquisition of skills for the professional responsibilities of Industrial Engineering and Industrial Engineer under applicable CIN/351/2009 and CIN/311/2009 order respectively. This has allowed us to maintain consistency in the distribution of subjects, so students reach a general training in all areas of Industrial Technology Engineering, not forgetting the requirements that allow access to the Master of Engineering allowing the professional attributions.

5. The experience in renewable energy

In recent years, the School has been inspired by various lines of research regarding renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. The degree, which is new in Spain, at CEU-UCH allows students to access a wide range of subjects, from energy research and the development of technology transfer projects to the construction and mobility fields of the professional energy sector. In the last three years, the University has helped to develop numerous projects in the energy sector which has allowed the University to collaborate with companies such as:

  • Schneider Electric, Omron Electronics, SRB Energy, Dupont, Onyx Solar, Sunpower, Akuval, Uponor, Climate Well, Sugein, Kawneer, Saint Gobain, Porcelanosa, Hercor, Holtza, Idom-Acxt, Medavia, Matva, Horizon Fuel Cells, Maxon Motor, Air Liquide and Endesa.

We have also extended the collaboration with technological centers and institutions. Currently, in terms of energy and sustainability, collaboration with the following institutions stands out:

  • The Valencian Institute of Construction (IVE), the Integral Cycle of Water and Renewable Energies, the Technological Centre of Efficiency and Sustainable Energy (ENERGYLAB), the Green Building Council of Spain, the Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE), the Institute of Energy Technology (ITE), the Research Laboratory of Combustion Technologies (LITEC-CSIC).

There is a link and a recent common trajectory between CEU UCH University and the entire energy sector. We shall remark two recent projects developed at the ESET:

What will I learn?

The degree deals with an industrial branch of Engineering which shares skills and knowledge areas with the Industrial Organization Engineering Degree in terms of basic, Industrial Engineering and Industrial technology subjects. The curriculum tackles the scientific-technical training related to Energy Management and the use of technology. The studies have been designed so that the skills acquired enable the student, if desired, to access the Masters in Industrial Engineering.

This specialization, once obtained, allows the professional to essentially deal with the design, planning and management of energy facilities and their elements. Furthermore, it deals with the generation, transportation, distribution and consumption of energy, as well as the efficient usage of resources from both renewable and conventional energy supplies. Activities in this professional field are currently on the increase, consequently causing an increase in job creation and a high demand for energy engineering specialists.

The Energy Sector is the leading Industrial sector in terms of technological innovation and it will probably remain in this leading position for some years to come. Spain and the Valencian Autonomous Community both stress the importance of technological business development in this sector and have therefore promoted in recent years some of the dominant, leading, energy technologies such as wind and solar power.

Final Year Project


The TFG involves students completing their own original research projects that include and expand upon on topics studied on the course and require students to use the skills and abilities they have acquired throughout their degree. The aim of the dissertation is to teach students how to look for, structure, organise and evaluate relevant information in order to help them develop their own opinions, including how to approach topics with a social, scientific, technological or ethical nature, and how to develop their own thoughts, criticisms and logical and creative judgments.
