Análisis termográfico y ecográfico como marcador predictivo de lesiones en deportistas.

La disminución del número de lesiones en deportistas profesionales mediante el empleo de nuevas tecnologías aplicadas a la prevención está siendo crucial en la actualidad. Entre estas tecnologías, se encuentra la termografía infrarroja y la ecografía. Este grupo de investigación propone una línea de investigación mediante el análisis de imagen ecográfica y termográfica para caracterizar patrones de imagen clínica de deportistas y su relación con la aparición de lesiones musculo-esqueléticas, con el fin de desarrollar nuevas estrategias para prevenir, diagnosticar y tratar estas lesiones.

Lesiones en deportistas asociadas a la disfunción de la musculatura abdomino-pélvica.

Se sabe que el control motor alterado de la región lumbo-pélvica conduce a movimientos compensatorios de la columna vertebral y las extremidades inferiores, lo que resulta en lesiones recurrentes en deportistas. El objetivo de esta línea de trabajo es analizar la relación entre la fuerza muscular pélvica y los hábitos deportivos con la aparición de lesiones músculo-esqueléticas, así como el desarrollo de nuevas estrategias para prevenir, diagnosticar y tratar lesiones asociadas a la disfunción abdomino-pélvica.

Thermographic and ultrasound analysis as a predictive marker of injuries in athletes.

The decrease in the number of injuries in professional athletes through the use of new technologies applied to prevention is currently being crucial. These technologies include infrared thermography and ultrasound. This research group proposes a line of research through the analysis of ultrasound and thermographic images to characterize clinical imaging patterns of athletes and their relationship with the appearance of musculoskeletal injuries, in order to develop new strategies to prevent, diagnose and treat these injuries.

Injuries in athletes associated with dysfunction of the abdominal-pelvic muscles.

Altered motor control of the lumbopelvic region is known to lead to compensatory movements of the spine and lower extremities, resulting in recurrent injuries in athletes. The objective of this line of work is to analyze the relationship between pelvic muscle strength and sports habits with the appearance of musculoskeletal injuries, as well as the development of new strategies to prevent, diagnose and treat injuries associated with abdominopelvic dysfunction.
