Gonzalo Rafael Haro Cortés

He holds a degree in Medicine from the University of Valencia with an Erasmus placement at the University of Bristol (England). He completed his specialization in Psychiatry at the University Clinical Hospital of Valencia, with a placement at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland (Ohio, USA). He holds a PhD in "The Influence of Personality Disorders on the Outcome of Opioid-Dependent Patients" from the University of Valencia.
Since 2007, he has worked as the psychiatrist in charge of the Severe Dual Disorders Program at the Hospital Provincial of Castellón. Since 2012, he has been a professor of mental health in the Medicine Degree at UCH-CEU, on the Castellón campus, and has held a professor since 2023, accredited by ANECA.
He combines his care and teaching duties with directing the TXP Research Group, which specializes in mental health and addictions. He has supervised 10 doctoral theses, plus 4 in progress, and has held two active six-year research periods in the field of biomedicine, with an H-index of 16.
As a member of the board of directors of the Spanish Society of Dual Disordes and, since 2023, as president of the Spanish National Committee of the World Association on Dual Disorders, he has participated in and organized numerous scientific conferences and trained more than one hundred residents in psychiatry, clinical psychology, and specialized nursing from Spain and Latin America (Jofre`s Program).
