A new, free-to-use gym will shortly be opened for the whole CEU university community.

The CEU Cardenal Herrera University has a range of agreements in place with different sporting organizations and town councils, enabling our students to use a variety of sporting facilities off campus.

The Fundación Trinidad Alfonso has signed agreements with all the universities in the Valencia region, including CEU UCH, in order to promote sporting activity across the region.

This agreement aims to:

• Foster and support initiatives related to university sport across the Valencia region.
• Promote university sport in all areas.
• Highlight the importance of balancing participation in sport with educational commitments.
• Promote a work ethic, one of the goals of the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso seeks to promote.

These agreements enable members of the CEU university community to enjoy sport on and off campus. More facilities, more opportunities, more for our university community.

At CEU, we see sport as a way that we can all take care of ourselves, unwind, meet people and play an active part in university life. That's why we offer a wide variety of activities for all tastes and abilities on our three campuses, in addition to competitive sport.

There are facilities set aside for students' own sporting get-togethers, kickabouts, and pick-up games – just for the fun of it. Just come over and play. It's a great way to play team sports, meet other people on campus and stay active in downtime between lectures.

The Valencia campus has a fully equipped gym which all students can access free of charge. The gym is a place where you can train at your own pace and which provides convenience, comfort and variety.

• Strength area with equipment to help students work on all muscle groups
• Outdoor area for functional training, free weights and outdoor work
• Cardio room with exercise bikes, treadmills and elliptical trainers
• Activities room for instructor-led sessions on strength training, cardio and mobility
• Room with tatami mats for martial arts

At the Castellón Campus we offer you a modern and fully equipped gym, freely available to all students. A space designed for you to train at your own pace, with a variety of areas adapted to your needs.

• Strength area with machines that allow you to safely train all muscle groups
• Cardio area with bikes, treadmills and ellipticals to improve your endurance and physical condition
• Multipurpose area an open and spacious zone where guided strength, cardio and mobility sessions are held
• Tatami area ideal for practicing martial arts and combat sports

The Fundación Trinidad Alfonso, with the collaboration of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University and the other universities which are members of CADU (Comité Autonómico de Deporte Universitario), offers two kinds of prizes to recognize those university students who demonstrate academic and sporting excellence.

This prize is for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University who combine their studies with high-level sporting activity.

• €2000 are available for this prize, which is distributed between the male and female categories.
• Criteria: academic and sporting performance.

Administered by the Universitat Jaume I, which currently holds the CADU secretaryship, this prize is aimed at students who graduated in 2024/2025 at a Valencian university which is a member of CADU and who has demonstrated outstanding academic and sporting performance.

• €4000 are available for this prize, which is distributed between the male and female categories.

The CEU Athlete Support Programme aims to enable students to combine their studies and sporting endeavours and facilitate their transition into employment after the end of their sporting career.
