MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) are the European Union’s reference programme for doctoral education and postdoctoral training.

They fund excellent research and stimulate employment, growth and investment, while equipping researchers at all stages of their career with new knowledge and skills. They encourage research cooperation between countries, sectors and disciplines.

The objective of MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships is to equip researchers who posses a PhD with new knowledge and skills, through training and mobility across borders and exposure to different sectors and disciplines. MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to excellent researchers of any nationality who wish to participate in R&D projects at the University as a member of one of our Research Groups

  • CEU UCH has 67 research groups (43 consolidated research groups, 6 in the process of consolidation, 9 pre-competitive research groups, and 9 emergent research groups), 9 research laboratories, 7 research chairs, 4 institutes, 3 observatories, and 5 administrative units for research, knowledge transfer and dissemination.
  • There are more than 1000 lecturers at the university and more than 150 researchers. 4 Ramón y Cajal Researchers work at the University and there are 34 research assistants / trainee researchers. There are also more 10,000 students at the University.

    The University is currently participating as a partner in European projects such as: Drawing the baselines for the good management of a Mediterranean key species, the wild rabbit (LIFE20 GIE/ES/000731 – LIFE Iberconejo)

  • Highly skilled support staff: we will go through your proposal in detail to enhance the chances of success. Once awarded a fellowship, we can assist you in obtaining a visa, medical insurance, accommodation, and the administration of your research project.
  • We have campuses in Valencia, Castellón and Elche, three welcoming and cultured cities on the Mediterranean coast. They are great places to begin to discover the wonderful country of Spain.
Researcher eligibility

By the time of the closing date for application, you must have received your PhD or have completed your viva or thesis defence and you must have no more than 8 years of full-time research experience after graduation from your doctoral programme. This limit may be extended for the following reasons:

  • Maternity leave
  • Paternity leave
  • Long-term sickness leave
  • Research in Non-Associated Third Countries (TC): only nationals or long-term residents of the EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries can apply.
  • Periods of time not involved in research
  • Career breaks
  • Compulsory national service

 

The general mobility requirement for MSCA fellowships must also be borne in mind: not to have resided or undertaken your main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 years in the three years immediately before the closing date for applications (14-09-22).
